Crisis Stabilization Services

Crisis stabilization services are designed to be available when you need them. These services help you during periods of high stress and at critical points in your treatment and recovery process. Effective use of crisis stabilization services helps you maintain treatment progress and prevent unnecessary hospitalizations during a mental health crisis.

Our crisis services are available to you by calling NorthKey’s ACCESS team at 859-331-3292. Our crisis clinician will talk with you about what caused you to call. When necessary, our clinician will arrange to meet with you at a safe location to provide a more detailed assessment and consultation.

If your situation seems manageable by an outpatient intervention/treatment approach, our crisis therapist will help you develop an action plan. This plan may include short-term intensive therapy and connection with outpatient services through one of NorthKey’s offices located throughout the region. When indicated, our clinician will also help connect you with other appropriate resources in the community. Crisis services are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week.

NorthKey has Open Access at all office locations.  Individuals can be seen for an initial appointment when and where it is convenient for them.
